The new and improved…Countrywide Short Sale process…Please! | Kris and Kimberly Darney

After being transferred more than 9 times to the same 3 departments, finally someone who seems to be able to answer my questions! I must say, I was jumping out of my seat with joy when the fellow at the other end of the line Countrywide guy told me that Countrywide had refined their “Short Sale” process. Well….I don’t know about you, but I took the statement literally and was guessing that meant that getting approvals would be much quicker now.

According to Countrywide guy, they had hired additional people to make the Short Sale process easier…because Short Sales “are their only biz”. That I can believe, not the 45 days plus that Countrywide guy was so happy to tout. What is this secret process??? From experience, I would say at least 10 days could be shave off this process if someone would stop throwing away the faxes containing the offers!

In this situation, the seller of the home is facing a Foreclosure date in just 14 days. Good news here is we were able to convince Countrywide to put a hold on the sale and accept offers! Yea! With a foreclosure costing the lender around $72,000 let’s all hope that these banks start to realize time really does equal $$$
