Good thing we love lemonade, we’ve certainly had our share and then some! Marriage, career changes, Life…where do the years go?  Somewhere in all that change we knew one thing for sure, we wanted to do something that would be exciting, challenging and offer us a chance to put all of those corporate years of sales and marketing to good use.

Real estate seemed like a good idea…It was exciting and lucrative… for a little while.

We were introduced to Commercial Real Estate early on.  Our largest listing to date was vacant land that was nearly 2000 aces, zoned rural residential.  That was an exciting experience!  We then gradually started listing high end homes as our primary specialty.

Our corporate sales and marketing (past career path for well over a decade..ouch) helped us tremendously when it came to running our business.  So we can thank the corporate world for all that great experience we gained when our quarterly reports and marketing plans came due…(does anyone really like paperwork?)

If you’ve ever read the book  Who Moved My Cheese (author: Spencer Johnson,M.D.) you know that we did not want or expect that bubble to burst.   Just when we were getting to know everything.  Yes, lots of lemonade at the Darney home.

It didn’t take long to realize that the real estate business was changing, and changing fast. We spent nearly a year taking classes that have helped us master the process of a Short Sale.  We have gained knowledge that we share with anyone that will listen.  It’s an awesome feeling to help others.
